We accept applications only during a designated time period. Our 2013 application period will be open through 6/1/13 through 8/31/13, and the 2012 application period is now closed. Learn more about the program and apply here if you qualify. Check out our blog for past recipient profiles.
In this program, we dedicate a batch of limited edition/specialty beer
to a locally-based, grassroots nonprofit that meets the following
criteria:
- The organization's work must align with our mission to enhance
Environmental Sustainability, Local Food production, Education and/or
Community.
- Recipients must be a registered 501c3 nonprofit.
- We are not able to fund individuals or sports teams.
- To support as many worthy causes as possible, we limit eligibility
to organizations that were not Pints for a Purpose recipients in the
past year. Those that were selected last year must wait another year
to apply again.
- Organizations must be able and willing to promote the program
actively to support their fundraising success
The nonprofit gets 25 cents for every pint sold for three weeks. We also hold a kickoff event where we offer the opportunity for the nonprofit to receive up to $1 per pint depending on the number of pints sold that night. The success of this initiative depends greatly on the organization's efforts to promote the program and kickoff. We provide template promotional text to make this easy, and we also promote it though our blog, twitter feed, Facebook page and at our restaurant. Of course, we emphasize responsible consumption of alcohol in all communication, and require recipients to do the same.
For each round, the voted-for recipients of Pints for a Purpose are employee-chosen. You will receive an email confirmation that your application has been received after you submit it.
